Leveling a minion build in Path of Exile 2 can be both fun and highly effective if you know the right strategies and items to use. Here's how to make your minion leveling journey as smooth as possible:

Starting out

If you are starting your journey as a Witch with an Infernalist focus, one of the first steps is to secure your basic Minion setup. Start with Summon Raging Spirits (SRS), known as Raging Spirits in PoE 2, paired with Arsonist Minions. This duo provides a solid base for your damage output.

Gem progression: Grab your first Raging Spirit gem from Frey Thorn in Act 1. Until then, use Contagion to manage crowds effectively. Once you have the gem, switch to using Flame Wall to summon your spirits for maximum effect.

Key Uniques for easy levelling

In Folding Dawn: This unique gives you an extra 100 Spirit, which will boost your minion numbers early on. Keep in mind that it trades off the mana gain from Intellect, so manage your mana with flasks.Oaksworn Shield: Another Spirit booster, this shield will help you maintain a high number of minions.Corpseweave Boots: These boots allow for automatic corpse explosions, which synergise well with Flame Wall or your Infernalist's Ignite effects, making crowd control a breeze.

Gear Recommendations

Scepters: Aim for one with minion level boosts. Even a +2 can make a significant difference in damage output.Helmet: Look for helmets that give additional levels to your minions. Amulet: Prioritise health, attributes and minion levels. If possible, find one with +all attributes to cover your gem leveling needs.Gloves and belt: Not as critical, but focus on health and any resistances you may need.

Skill tree strategy

Early on, pick up minion damage nodes and Living Death for faster minion resurrection. As you progress, you'll need to balance attribute nodes with your skill progression, especially if your gear doesn't cover the necessary stats for gem levels. Consider Lord of Horrors for additional minion power

Support Gems and Tactics

Use Pain Sacrifice to buff your minions and Flammability to debuff enemies for increased damage.For an efficient leveling experience, focus on maintaining a balance between summoning more minions and keeping them effective with the right support gems.
